This Is The Day The Lord Has Made And We Will Rejoice & Be Glad In It….

Good morning! This is the day that the Lord has made and we should rejoice and be glad in it. Because our God lives and reigns forever more; God gives many gifts, amazing and beyond this world. After the ascension of Jesus Christ in ( Scriptural Reference), mankind was gifted the Holy Spirit. The “thing” that intimately & directly connects us to God: That makes us His children. But what exactly does the Holy Spirit do for Christians. How can we fathom what the Holy Spirit is besides an incomparable gift; Today I hope these verses help shape, define and ripen our understanding about what the role of the Holy Spirit is in the lives of Christians.

The 21 Bible Verses

1. Nehemiah 9: 20

KJV: “And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;”

NKJV: “The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.”

2. Isaiah 11: 2

5. John 14: 16 & 17

KJV: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; (17) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

NKJV: “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— (17) the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.””

6. John 14: 26

KJV: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

NKJV: “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

7. John 16: 13

KJV:Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

NKJV: However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

8. Acts 1: 4 – 8

KJV: “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5) For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6) When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7) And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

9. Acts 2: 38

KJV: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

NKJV: “Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

10. Romans 8: 11

KJV: “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

NKJV: “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

11. Romans 8: 15 & 16

KJV: “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”

NKJV: “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16) The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,”

12. Romans 8: 26 & 27

KJV: “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27) And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

NKJV: “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. 19. Ephesians 1: 13

21. 2 Timothy 1:7

KJV: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Let the Holy Spirit Do His Work In & Around Us

So we know for sure that God gave us this gift, now what? We accept it and that’s it. Accept Christ as your Lord and Savior and receive His Holy Spirit. Continue to choose Him every day; Submit to the good He works in our lives and the transformation he orchestrates in us. The author and finisher of our Faith moves through the Holy Spirit within us and our job is to move with ( in agreeance with) Him in the driver seat of our life.
